First off, the place was jam packed. Never seen it that way before. No place to sit even though we had a reservation. No problem. The three of us sat/stood at the bar. The bartender was amazing. Great knowledge and a true craftsman when it came to drinks. Kept us well supplied as we waited 30+ minutes for our table. I had reserved a high top in the bar area. Got a low top, no problem. This is when the issues started. No one came by for over 5 minutes. We really wanted an early-ish dinner. That was fading as 8 pm approached rapidly. Finally waved down someone. "Is this table assigned to anyone?" Finally showed up after a total of ten minutes. Fast-forward to 10:40 pm. We finally finished a well-prepared, exquisitely plated meal. Two of us were driving so it was painful to stretch two drinks out that long, but they too, were well prepared. So, to sum it up, great food, bad timing, and the server could have definitely level set our expectations. Amy never acknowledged any delay, just acted as if everything was going smoothly. I was traveling with my CEO and since I was the one to bring him here, it was a bit embarrassing. Finally got checked into our rooms and settled in for a short night's sleep.

I have been in Augusta for 3 years now and was always wanting to try Cork and Flame but never got to it. When I found out there was going to be a work event here, I was ecstatic. I ordered lobster bisque, bison steak, and chocolate pave for dessert with the Johnny Appleseed seed cocktail. Lobster Bisque (4/5): The lobster bisque was super rich and creamy with just a touch of brandy to lighten the dish. It had decent lobster flavor although I wish it could have had a few more pieces of lobster. My only other thing I would change in this dish would be for them to reduce the salt by a little bit. It was noticeably salty to me and I found myself needing to drink more, although with how much I enjoyed the Johnny Appleseed cocktail, it wasn't a problem. Bison (3.5/5): I ordered this dish as recommended by the waiter. The bison came medium rare along with a little bit of elote with charred corn, cotija and chimichurri overlying it all. The bison was a neat alternative to regular beef steaks. It was noticeably leaner though, making it much more chewy than beef steaks. Unlike the bisque it could have been just slightly saltier as well. The chimichurri added some acidity to it and was refreshing. The elote was a nice pairing. Although I am used to elotes with cream/butter and heavier on the cotija cheese, this had a nice clean taste. Chocolate Pave (5/5): I enjoy desserts that aren't too sweet and, if chocolate flavored, are more bitter and dark. This chocolate pave definitely met those criteria. It felt like they used a very high %cocoa chocolate to make this that was decadent and perfectly bitter. It was like a fancy, not overly sweet fudge. The raspberry sorbet was nice and tangy to balance out the chocolate pave. Overlying the pave, there was a chantilly cream that was lightly torched and this also helped balance out the heavy dark notes of the chocolate pave and added a soft foamy texture as well. Fantastic dessert that I would order again. I enjoyed the Johnny Appleseed cocktail. Refreshing apple and cinnamon flavor that was perfect for late fall/winter. Service was excellent here. Our waiter Thomas was very helpful with any questions we had and was very attentive. With the excellent service, the quaint ambiance, and the solid food options from appetizer to dessert, it's no wonder why cork and flame gets the great reputation it does in Augusta. I would definitely return in the future.

Food was something special. I had the wild boar which was simply amazing. Ordinarily, I would rate C&F 5-stars but we experienced a technical glitch in the kitchen that delayed everything and affected service. The manager did set things right and I am definitely giving this establishment another go soon.

Cork and Flame is where the FLAME is!! From the atmosphere, food , and service were top notch! Our server was very informative on the food and drinks selection and made sure we had what we need. Their food was amazing and do yourself a favor, ordered their wagyu dumplings, fillet, king salmon, and mouth watering melt in your mouth wild boar! They gave you palate cleanser after each meal and our family LOVED it! They have a wine celar for those wine lovers out there. We came during master (April- Spring Break) and they incorporate one of their ice cream (one of the palate cleanser) with the master theme local fruit special. Our family loved their dessert too and deconstructed apple pie is a must! If only I live close by, this restaurant will definitely be in our repeat place to eat!

Amazing!!! I'm not sure if this is a hidden gem or what but this place was amazing. From the time i walked i to this low lit but beautiful restaurant I smiled because I knew i was in the right place. The service was amazing. Everyone was nice and treated us great. The sommelier helped us pick a wine since the lady couldn't decided what she wanted to have lol. He decided on a Pinot Noir and it was so delicious. I never had bison before so i didn't know what to expect but it was very good. Very tasty and sweet bits of corn paired with meat was top tear. This is a must get when you come.

Reservations: 5 Parking: 5 Customer service: 5 Quality of food: 5 Portion size: 5 Everything was impeccable from start to finish. It was another stop on our year long 30th anniversary year, and Cork & Flame didn't disappoint! If you are looking for a fantastic dining experience and great ambience, this is your place. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and welcoming inside, loved the decor thru out. We where seated with a sparkling glass of wine, this was a sweet surprise. Our waiter was a gem, he made our evening memorable and was very attentive at all times. Our courses came out in a timely manner, all the food was presented well, tasty and prepared with love. Remember they are a fine dining establishment, so the plates aren't large. We enjoyed salmon, the duo with vinixen, bison meals, with squash and rabbit dumpling soup, so yummy! Honestly we were well pleased with the portions and treats along the way. Our evening was indeed one to remember. I forgot to mention that we loved the small plated treats during the evening, we really enjoyed them all! And yes, that's hot Rosemary scented towels before our meal! We will be recommending you all and its a must for us to return in the near future! Tip: make reservations, they do have a large wine bar selections if your not wanting to eat a meal. Thanks to your amazing staff and Happy Holidays!!!

I can't find the words to express how enjoyable our evening was at Cork and Flame. It was our anniversary and we had the very best time on a Monday. Our server Kory (sp) was impeccable! Everyone was amazingly attentive and the ambience was perfect. Now.. the food. Oh my goodness. Everything is just right. The meat was tender, delicious and not a hint of game. I'm from Montana and I've eaten a lot of elk, but never, ever like this.. I myself had the Mediterranean fish (I honestly can't remember exactly what it was), but it was fantastic. I had Creme brûlée which is basic, right? Only not basic and my FAVORITE dessert, so it topped my night off! We ordered a bottle of champagne and took a bottle home.. The entire experience was so enjoyable and I honestly couldn't say enough wonderful things to do Cork and Flame justice. So I'll just tell you to visit and try it for yourself, you'll be so happy you did.

I've been here multiple times for special occasions and regular dinners as well as brunch. No matter when I come the service is top notch. To me I think that is what sets it apart as a fine dining restaurant vs an expensive place to eat. Besides that, the food is great. Its one of the best places to eat in Augusta with a menu that changes every so often and has a few creative dishes on there. There are also exotic types of meat available if you choose to try them such as kangaroo and bison, elk, wild boar, just to name a few. My favorite things to get for the current menu right now are the scallops app and wild boar entree. The boar is so tender and the meat literally falls off the bone. You also get a huge portion as well. The honeyed carrots that come with the boar surprisingly stand out in a good way in the dish too. I always make it a point to get dessert here too. As you can see, the desserts are fun and tasty too. I tried the apple (very pretty) with mousse inside, and the deconstructed apple pie as well as the table side s'mores. The s'mores are so fun to have cause you can toast your marshmallow over the mini fire. And lastly I always look forward to the cute cotton candy tree. I am very happy that our town has such a great option for dining and great chef and staff. Looking forward to coming back again.

I took my mom here while she was in town. We walked in on a Thursday evening without a reservation and were given a choice to be seated either in the wine market, the back patio, or the front patio. We asked for the back patio, and we were lucky enough to be the only party seated there! The ambiance of the back patio was wonderful, with flowers and string lights galore. We loved the privacy. The service was incredibly attentive, and our waitress was very polite and professional. We each ordered a mocktail, an appetizer, and a main. Detailed reviews: Creamsicle mocktail: Tastes like an orange and cream yogurt drink or melted ice cream, but less sweet. It's creamy and full of flavor. Mule mocktail: I forgot the exact name of this and am kicking myself for not taking a picture of the drink menu! It had some kind of berry, lime, ginger, and earl grey. It was EXTREMELY spicy and ginger-forward. It opens up the sinuses. Definitely not for everyone, but I really enjoyed it! We were given orange-scented hot towels and a "palate stimulator" that consisted of a mint jelly, some sort of aerated cream, and small tea-flavored bubbles on top. It tasted sweet, but not too sweet, and it was a great start to our dinner. Kangaroo: one of the best appetizers I've ever had in my life. The kangaroo was very thin, but I think that's a great way for it to be served. Literally every ingredient in the dish packed a bunch of flavor, even the tomatoes. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this dish, please don't skip it unless you have dietary restrictions! Escargot: This plate came after the Kangaroo and it was pretty good, but definitely skippable. The escargot wasn't too salty, and the melted butter was a nice touch. If you dip the bread into the butter, it tastes great! The vegetables weren't the best-tasting though. Maybe if I had this dish alone or before the Kangaroo, my opinion would be different. We were given a palate cleanser in between the appetizer and the main course: raspberry sorbet. The sorbet tasted fresh, and there were real raspberry chunks interspersed in the sorbet. Bison: ordered medium rare. great taste, especially with the chimichurri. Loved the sweet corn/elote with it! Not gamey at all. Only downside is that it's really chewy, but that's probably a characteristic of the bison itself. I'd recommend it as a main course! Wild Boar: extremely tender and comes still on the bone! It pretty much falls off the bone and comes apart even without needing a knife. The seasoning, vegetables, and rice were not as good as the seasoning and corn on the bison, in my opinion. But I really loved the tenderness and melt-in-your-mouth-ness of the boar. We did not order dessert because we were full from everything else. We even had to take our food to go because we were so full. We weren't given the iconic cotton candy at the end, but I think it's because we didn't order dessert. The entire experience was incredible, and it was my first time taking my mom to an upscale restaurant. She's somewhat of a picky person when it comes to food, but she was blown away by the food, service, and ambiance. I already had a high opinion of Cork and Flame prior to this, but this experience just enhanced my opinion even further. If you have the means to pay higher prices for dinner, this is definitely one of my top restaurants in Augusta.
